Pictures without Antigypsyism
– For better media representation!
Which pictures can be used for key words such as “Antigypsyism“ that don’t reproduce stereotypes or put vulnerable people in a bad light? In which ways can resistance and the fight for justice be visualized in media?
What kind of photos should be used for news topics like the fight for refugee and migrant rights, Romani empowerment, the commemoration of genocide or generally anything related to Roma and Sinti?
We seek pictures to use in our Photo Pool and call for photographers to submit their works until December 1st, 2023. The pictures should follow established media standards (300 dpi; if someone is shown recognizably in the picture, we need a written consent).
The best photos will be selected to be purchased (300€ each) for our Photo Pool, so that media professionals can access and use them in the future. Additionally, the 3 best pictures will be rewarded with a little present and presented at a public event in 2024.
Please submit your pictures to andrea.wierich@amaroforo.de
